History - DeLorean
September 17th, 2008 by Randy SlabeyWe have DeLorean used cars by owner for sale at bargain prices.
The youngest man to become a GM executive is the man behind the formation of De Lorean Motor Company. This guy’s name is John De Lorean. One car that De Lorean is known for is its DMC-12 sports car. For people who are familiar with the movie, “Back to the Future Trilogy,” this is the car that was transformed into a time machine and was used by Michael J. Fox to travel to the past and the future. However, due to financial turmoil brought about by market forces and the operations of the company it was forced to stop operations in 1982. Many DMC cars are still on the streets until today. It seems that the DMC-12 still has a great demand until today that businessman Stephen Wynn bought all remaining parts so they can be rebuilt into DMC-12s again.
What are also in demand today are auto parts replacements and improvements that were developed to improve the DMC-12 performance. Complete engine swaps are possible. Turbocharger kits are also available. Some would also enhance car performance through engine tuning and exhaust enhancements.
