History - Eagle

Eagle is another marquee of Chrysler. It was marketed following the Chrysler takeover of the American Motors. AMC dealers merely continued selling the Eagle brand for Chrysler together with the Jeep. Eagle cars were prominently marked with the Eagle head logo. Even so many people thought of the Eagle brand or considered it as Jeep Eagle. Eagle really did not hit it big with consumers especially with the success of Jeep. Being the lowest performing division, the phase out was done in several stages until the last batch of Eagle cars was launched in 1998.
Nevertheless, some Eagle models still sold a decent number. One model that just did that is Eagle Talon. It was just really in marketing where Eagle lacked. In fact, people still bought the same Eagle cars that were repackaged and reintroduced under the other Chrysler divisions. There were still people who appreciated the Eagle brand and the quality that came with it though. After all, it still had the same performance its mother company had. Eagle was bought too because of its association with the Chrysler name.
